About T.A. Fuller Homes

T.A. Fuller Homes, Inc. is a Design/Build company of which 80% of the homes Tom has built have been custom designed by Tom and custom built for his clients. Tom has built homes in some of Bloomington’s most desired neighborhoods such as Renwick, Regents Park, Kensington Park, Gentry Honours, East Wingfield, Bellevista, Saddlebrook, Bailey Estates, Rolling Glen, The Outback, Jackson Mill and Orchard Estates to name just a few. Tom has built all types of custom homes and he can use your plans or customize a set of plans to meet your needs and lifestyle.

Tom Fuller is President of T.A. Fuller Homes, Inc. which he started in 1999. Tom’s background in building started in 1979 when he served as an apprentice in the Lafayette Carpenters Union. Tom completed his apprenticeship and got his journeyman status after which he then got his degree in Building Material Technology-Construction from Vincennes University. While at college Tom served as “Student Trustee”, appointed by Indiana Governor Robert D. Orr, “Student Senate President” and “Senior Class President”. After graduating from college Tom started work in residential home construction and worked for two different local builders in Vincennes. One builder he served as a Project Manager and the other builder he served as a General Manager. Tom moved to Bloomington in 1990 where he worked for Rogers Building Supply and later for the Wininger/Stolberg Group.

In 2008 Tom became the Monroe County Building Association's "2007 Builder of the Year". In 1998 Tom served as President of the Monroe County Building Association and is a former Board of Director member for the MCBA. Tom is also a State Life Director with the Indiana Builders Association and the IBA Builder Area Vice President for Area 6. Tom has been “Builder of the Month”, with the MCBA, once each year since 2000. Tom received the MCBA President’s Award in 2002 for outstanding service to the building industry and the community. Tom is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Salesperson and he has earned his "Certified Green Professional (CGP), Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS), Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) and Graduate Master Builder (GMB) professional designations from the National Association of Home Builders NAHB University of Housing.

Tom is a 2006 graduate of the Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County program. This eight-month program is designed to help people develop leadership skills in the community and the workplace.

Tom has been married to Teresa since 1984 and they have a daughter named Tara. Tom loves boating, water skiing and he and Tara are certified scuba divers. Tom’s other love besides family is classic muscle cars.

10/2009: The Indiana Builders Association recently swore in the new Area Builder Vice Presidents at the State Board Meeting on November 16th at the Indianapolis Hilton. Tom Fuller, T.A. Fuller Homes was sworn in as the 2010 State Builder Area Vice President for Area 6. Fuller’s area includes Monroe, Jackson-Jennings, and the River Valley Locals. Fuller will begin his term in January 2010. Fuller is a State Life Director for the IBA and has served on the Monroe County Building Association Board of Directors for the past 12 years
